Tribe Done Gone Book (2017)

In Bhubaneswar, the capital of the Indian State of Odisha, there is a place hosting children from the shattered authentic tribes. They get food, shelter and education but they are also submitted into a system that equally profits from their existence. As I had the opportunity to come close to the 25000 interned kids, words fall short to describe how their purity has an impact on my person. As a photographer I wanted to focus on the tribal children as they live their life together in the institute. They seem to be lost in time as the old world is getting annihilated by modern times. During the transition the kids are tight to each other and they play, as children should. The book manifests around the NGO, the interning of the children and the individuality between the many.
